Thanks for the release and the presentation of the battery information. The temp sensors look good but the ewh40 is reporting 0. I replaced the battery with a new one but still same status.

Ver 4.0.01.36 - Ecowitt: WH40 battery changed to V / 10

MikeO3 as I said, battery reporting is total mess, documentation says that WH40 battery only is reported as 0/1 (good/bad) - but it reports eWH40_SENSOR: 16 - which I can assume is 1.6V * 10

Please also try the AmbientWeather Local for battery readings

Looks like you have been able to sort through some of the mess however.

Honestly, even with 0 or 1 is a status which can be monitored which is better then none.

The log is for AW Local protocol, but the screenshot is for Ecowitt (i.e. eWH40_SENSOR)

WH40 is the rain sensor, WH31 - temperature, not sure about WH26. What sensors do you have?

Yes, I realized I had the wrong picture. That was adjusted. As for the WH26 the internet tells us that WH26=WH32 it appears which was an older model.

Not sure. I took the batteries out of the WH31 but the data must be cached. I don't have my tablet nearby to reboot the GW1000 but maybe I can try that later as it's not mounted outside.

Playing around with this it appears to be the WH40 which is not reporting with the AWLocal. I changed the WH31 id to CH2 and CH7 and both were found. The WH26/WH32 is also present.

Just purchased the plugin. I also have a GW1100 firmware 2.07 and an outdoor WH32 to start out. Have a couple of WH31 on the way. Sensor and gateway work fine with Ecowitt app on iPhone. Can also see also the sensor data on the ecowitt.net site.

Gateway is on different WiFi 192.168.4.57 and Homeseer is on 192.168.2.84.Both are from same router. From my HS machine on 192.168.2.84 I can access the webpage of the Gateway at 192.168.4.57.

How do I setup the plugin to access the gateway? Is there a step I am missing where I have to tell the gateway where to send data? Or is there a place to tell the plugin the IP of the Gateway. I see first the post it says Ecowit gateway is automatically found by HS if on same Wifi. What if they are not?

My plugin discovers Ecowitt gateway using UDP broadcast on port 46000. I'm not sure how it works across network boundaries, probably it doesn't.

Since discovery basically finds the device IP and port and then uses it for communication - I may allow entering them manually - then it should work.

You may Google for setting your router to allow UPD broadcast on different network (if it's possible at all).
