Pete you know the funny thing is he lived immediately, one street behind me when I lived in Brisbane but never knew that until I moved to Melbourne and purchased from him… it was to replace the Davis WLIP that I, and Davis, though had given up the ghost. In the end it was the console power supply just wasn’t up to the task.

Yes, that is why 3rd party interfaces are more popular. I got the WLL for cheap when it first came out from Scaled Instruments but still run a WLIP as a backup as it has the data more historical data.

I'm wondering how to implement the sensors HS devices? Problem with Davis is that each sensor is a separate device, but I don't want to create a separate root for each sensor, I prefer having one root per PWS.

4.0.0.85 I have not really had much chance to monitor this however, it appears that not all devices are updating.
Davis is correct in the world of meteorology but whether it is relevant to Home Automation is another thing.
Not all device are relevant in HomeSeer and therefore I agree that splitting device is not really required and only bloats the number of devices with no real return.

It would be great to be able to disable the devices in the plugin we don't need or want. But I guess the amount of work required to do that is going to depend on how the plugin discovers/enumerates them. I'm ok with manually deleting them as long as they don't get recreated somehow. Either way, it's not a big deal for a person with only one station to monitor.

Would you consider an option in your new plugin to use serial data from the console via direct connection or a serial to Ethernet connection or using readable data from the Meteostick?

I implemented Meteobridge, but not Meteostick - I asked them if there's an API I can use. I always prefer to communicate with the manufacturer directly and use the official API if possible.

I think WeatherLink Live (6100) is the best option for Local. But if you tell me exactly what you need - and will do the testing - sure I can do.

I don't have WLL myself, so it's difficult to develop, I'm hoping Davis will send me one for testing. Otherwise I need somebody to test my implementation, but it might take looong time.
