Can I get this to report status through Alexa?

Using Ecowitt and local protocol.

Enabled Alexa Amazon Discovery and tried to find new devices via Alexa app. Doesn't find them at all.

Hi there... i know how to turn it on... but only did it for some of the devices. what i'm saying is that after i do it, Alexa is not recognizing the devices.

Hard to tell. I don't have Alexa. And I don't see how it can be plugin problem. There's nothing in the code which is related to voice control.

What exactly you mean by "Alexa is not recognizing the devices"?

after i select the voice/alexa options for the device... i "search for new devices" via the alexa app. She/it doesn't find them.

It doesn't find any of the PI devices...but I know the Alexa skill works because I found a dimmer module a couple onweeks ago.

Rupp ....HomeseerSmarthome.... the one where you don't have to say "tell homeseer"...

Ha..good catch. But funny that it can tell you temp via thermostats...seem pretty similar.

Can you please clarify which thermostat (and which HS device) can tell the temp. I may try to check with HST support.
