    AmbientWeather Missing Sensors

I've just updated to AKWeather and include my PWS provider as Cloud AmbientWeather which works relatively well, however I seem to be missing a few sensor devices for 1) Lightning Detector, and 2) Moisture Sensors. which are included within and are being updated in AWN, am I missing something and if this was already addressed, please point me to the fix, thanxs in advance.

Also I've noticed that I have three battery devices showing up as 0% and four with some names associated including "batt_Lightning"..

I need log, please enable Log for the Location, filter HS log by plugin (FROM FILTER) and EXPORT to file.

And I'm not sure what you mean about battery devices - is it a question?

I'll check the log, thank you.

Batteries are total mess for Ecowitt and AW (all made by Fine Offset FOSHK). Especially the ghost "batt_co2". I'm in contact with FOSHK now about this.

Are you saying that the three batteries showing 0% should be 100%? Some battery devices don't really provide the %, just 1 or 0 for good/bad, but sometimes 1 and 0 are inverted

BTW, I noticed in the log some NOAA exceptions - was it some temporary issue, or it's a problem still? If yes, please open another thread for this.

Hmm, the log you provided is full of unrelated messages, difficult to follow., i.e. lots of NOAA errors and "Deleted device" messages.

Can you please disable other Locations (i.e. NOAA), clear the HS log and restart the plugin.

Thank you MNB for the second log. It doesn't have the replies, you may set Log to Trace level. But I will try to reproduce your problem using your API key from the log.

BETA 4.0.5.23 - AmbientWeather and Ecowitt - workaround don't show "batt_co2" if no CO2 reading.

You can delete the mystery "batt_co2" device.

                  Also, inverted some "batt%" devices.

Alex, Many thanks for making this modification. My soil sensors are showing up now, something very useful for my spouse, the master gardener. I appreciate your work in making that happen. Other authors (other systems) have not been responsive to making the changes needed in their code.

UPDATE: Looking closer at PWS Sensors I notice that the Lightning sensor seems to be at large, I can see the battery monitoring for it but no sensor device.

I made changes to some battery devices (inverted), which caused creating new devices. The old devices can be deleted, or delete all questionable devices and restart the plugin - it will create only new devices.

Regarding missing or extra devices - I need the Log (since I have no idea what sensors you have). See post # 2 above. Set Log to Trace level to provide more info.

Looking at my AK Weather Trace I believe I'm seeing the Lightning devices.

Possibly because there's no data for the lightning - so I don't create the devices. I might need to change not to ignore 0.

VER 4.0.5.26 - create Lightning Cnt device without lightning

Since in the log you do have "lightning_hour":0 - I can create Lightning Cnt device without lightning (even if it's 0).

Other Lightning data is not present (i.e. distance) - so I can't create the device until the data is available.

Can you please verify - when do have the "lightning_distance" (Distance of last strike km) the correct units.

Docs look inconsistent - all other values are imperial, but lightning_distance is km? But it's possible....

Alex, downloaded the latest v.26 (Beta), got only one of the Lightning devices "Lightning Cnt" with a zero count but am still missing the other two devices "Lightning Dst" and Time which I would expect them to be 0 or blank also as there hasn't been any Lightning incident of late.

In general, I noticed that some devices don't seem to appear until an event like weather warning spawns one, personally I would like all devices available when we establish a location, so I can attach event triggers to them rather than having to wait them to arrive at a later date, they would simply contain "Ok" or "0" which would signify nothing to report.
