Does the z-wave plugin automatically recognise the device ? is it treated as a Z-net interface ?
          thanks

It is automatically recognized by the Z-Net. Because this little board includes RTC and Cooling fan, you will need to configure RTC and cooling fan, but if you don't care RTC and Cooling fan, you don't need to do anything, just replace this board, it will work automatically, the RGB LED is working as original Z-NET as well.

So in about 5 years we might see a product based on the 800 series chip.

Maybe next year. 800 chips includes PSA level 3 encryption.

Just remember there is some kind of fundamental flaw in all 700-series Z-wave controllers since they all use the same Silicon Labs reference design. That flaw has been reported by HST and other platform forums have users posting similar complaints with various controllers based on the 700 series chip.

If my PSA level was 3 My Doctor would be concerned.🤣

The RaZberry 7 and RaZberry 7 Pro do not isolate DC on RF. So the RF part has some design flaws. I have a Z-Pi 7 has the same issue. That's why I don't recommend their stuff.
