How can I display Sensor status (garage door open/closed) on the mobile app

How can I display Sensor status (garage door open/closed) on the mobile app. I have an iolinc for my garage door and In the web view I was able to change the on/off buttons to be a single open/close button and changed the sensor to read opened or closed instead of on or off. But the mobile app doesn't display the sensor status. How can I add the status to the mobile app dashboard? I was able to hide the on/off status of the switch (which is not the same as the sensor) but the sensor status is not displayed
