The wonderful thing about my Homeseer install is that it just runs. It goes years without my having to do anything about it. That said, every once in a while I think about upgrading to the latest version (or making a change in some way). In the intervening I will have forgotten the basics of how HS runs on a Pi, under Mono, starts up, etc. I have a notes file I keep on weird changes I have made over the years (often ideas from this thread), but it is a whole re-learning curve each time. The Documentation always seems to be more PC focused, and out of date.

Is there a good summary or docs on how HS runs on a Pi? Where key files are located, key configs? How it runs under mono and what scripts are registered under e.g. init.d or other launchers (I mean by default)? What gets replaced on an upgrade, what doens't?
