HS-676 - 4.0.3.0. No way to rename timer or counter

It should be possible to rename a timer or counter.

    #2
In HS3 this was only available within an Event. HS4 needs the ability to do the same - β€œCreate/Edit Timers” and β€œCreate/Edit Counters”.
HS4 Pro, 4.2.19.0 Windows 10 pro, Supermicro LP Xeon

I can't DELETE a timer! I've deleted all events that have anything to do with it, but after ever reboot, it repopulates itself.

That is a separate issue. Please create a new thread for it.

Did you delete the actual timer or just the timer device? If you just delete the timer device, HS4 will recreate it. Be sure to delete the timer. I just tried this and it works for me.

I deleted the device. Then deleted the timer. Then rebooted and it all showed back up again.
I suppose there's a possibility that the system got stuck when I deleted the whole event group instead of the individual events within it.
But if that screws up, then there's an issue because there shouldn't be a way to delete the whole event if there's bugs involved.

If you delete the timer, the associated timer device is automatically deleted. Try that and see if there are issues with that.

Ok. Deleted timer. It deleted from event. Reboot. Timer and timer device are back AGAIN.
                  It won't go away.

Looks like it's still not possible to rename a timer. (HS 4.1.17)

It seems strange that to rename a timer I have to :
                    - create a new timer
                    - replace all instances of the timer with the new timer
                    - remove the old timer
