    And no z-wave tab.?!?

Worse yet, all my lights look the same.
Whoa.. If you have access to the legacy z-wave pages you may want to try a re-scan.

I'm only having problem with VD's. If that is a HS4 created Z-Wave device then you have some even stranger things going on.

This is probably user error on my part, since I haven't seen anyone else mention it:

I am running HS4 4.2.2.0 on a RPi 4 running Raspberry Pi OS. When I click the web UI "Tools-->Linux-->Restart system", it says "The system is installing, then restarting..." It seems to either be calling the wrong script, or the script itself contains the wrong information. When the system reboots, it no longer speaks anything, like "Welcome to Homeseer" and the Chromecast plugin doesn't speak anymore (in other words, the TTS client isn't working). If I instead perform a reboot from the console (or via SSH), it properly reboots. Sometimes TTS works after a reboot and other times it doesn't. Weird.

Which script is being called when the UI "Restart system" item is clicked?

This is odd. I installed the update yesterday, but never looked at Events. There were no garage power control devices in the dropdown when I looked remotely through MyHS this morning. Specifically the device in the screenshot below was not there. I also had a root for a strip in the media room with no features. I checked several times. Now at home, they are all there. You changed it such that the root and all the features are in the dropdown, vs picking the root, then feature as before. I have no idea why it would have changed since I looked this morning. So far everything is back. I will let you know if I find anything.

Here's an issue since I loaded HS4 4.2.2: I have several different HSTouch projects for different devices. In all projects, my HomeSeer 2GIG thermostats quit responding to the "increase or decrease setpoint" action on the buttons. I had to open each project, open the button actions, re-save them, save the project, and re-deploy the project to make them work again. Not sure if that is an issue with HSTouch (Version 3.0.80) or with HS4. The controls of the thermostats worked correctly from the HS4 GUI but all my HSTouch projects did not work until I took those steps.

I have HSTouch projects that display on Windows 10 as well as Android devices.

Can you try this again after the restart? I tried my test RPI unit here and the restart menu works properly. The message you saw is not from a script its from HS. It looks like it selected the wrong menu action.

The devices appear to have lost some information, not sure how that could have happened. Do you have a backup of your .json data file to try?

All the lights looked the same way under 4.2.2.0, so I have gone back to 4.1.18 and won't upgrade until a newer version is released.

And they look ok on 4.1.18? IF so, can you PM me your devices.json file? I am ready to post another update but I have not made any changes to the device handling so I doubt the view will change.

Yes, they look fine under 4.1.18. I tried to attach to a PM but the file size is too big and if I zip it I still can't attach so it's coming as a txt extension but it's a rar file. Sheez.

Thanks for looking into this. Running 4.2.2.0, I click Tools-->Linux-->Restart System, confirm I want to restart, and then the "Installing and restarting" message appears with the countdown timer. This happens every time I perform a restart. The TTS function that normally says "Welcome to HomeSeer" over my Chromecasts stops working after this "installing and restarting" process, too. See the attached screenshots.

Here's another example of not being able to select a device in HS4, but can in legacy.

                          Trying to select the Root...

I checked this and it is restarting the system properly, the displayed message is just incorrect, I will get that fixed. All it does is execute the Linux command "reboot". Can you execute this command from SSH and see if you have the same problem?

Found this problem. fix will be in 4.2.5.0. If you want to test the fix, edit the file "triggers.htm" which is in the includes folder in the HS html folder. Go to line 69 and remove the "<b>" tags that are there. Those were left over from some testing. You can then select a root device.
