  • Port Forwarding, DHCP & eero mesh Router

    Hello All,

I’ve perhaps foolishly gone and invested in an eero WiFi System. I like a lot of things about it, but after converting it from operating in bridge mode to performing as my router I receive this error when Starting the Lutron Caseta Plug-in

“A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host caseta”

I was curious what advice you had about port forwarding and DHCP reservations and how best to setup a system with a solution like eero.

Thanks for the time, and any insights you can provide,
    Tsy

    1. Open the eero app
    2. Tap on the Settings tab
    3. Tap on Advanced
    4. Tap on Reservations & Port Forwarding
    5. From here, you can add a reservation under IPv4 Reservations & Port Forwards or a firewall rule under IPv6 Firewall Rules
    6. You can assign permissions to a previously connected device, or manually add a new device.
    7. You can now edit the permissions with a specific IP address (IPv4 only), MAC address and open a specific internal/external port. You can also select a protocol for both TCP & UDP or either TCP or UDP
    8. Hit the back button on the top left to save your selected settings
These steps work for iOS only.
    Regards,
    Lewis
