  • Use a calendar event as trigger.

    Hi Alex,

Sorry for this silly question. While I understand the logic of creating calendar events based on triggered HS events... I was wondering how to do the opposite. I mean, put a calendar event on google to turn on something and then turn it off when the calendar event finishes.

Is that feasible? If so...how? (Dummy versión please 😂)

    kind regards!

Easy, it's in the Plugin description thread.

    You have four trigger options:

    1. Event Reminder
    2. Event Start
    3. Event End
    4. Number of events exceed some number

    Other options:

    1. Which calendar
    2. Event Name/Description/Location contains some words (optional)
    3. Trigger before some time (optional)

And you can use Global variables - i.e. if you want to announce the event name via TTS "Calendar Event: $$GLOBALVAR:cal_ev_name: $$GLOBALVAR:time_to_event:"

        Awesome!!

Found the problem... for whatever reason there was no trigger on my HS3... restarted the plugin and here it is...

Now that I have the triggers it kind of self explanatory!!! :P

        Thanks Alex!

This is one of the nicest feature of the plugin !

I mean yeah you can log all data you want in a database( sql or wtv) but having a userfriendly way of doing it is very welcome.. + you can't beat a google calendar when you think about if it is '' human redeable''

              Hi Guys!

Using a calendar event as a trigger functions but only the start... My first use is to turn on and off my espresso machine but only the ON works... Can't find what I did wrong... can you give it a look?
