Issue: Computer list gets deleted when restarting HS3

    Hi Bob,

I'm using BLLAN 2.0.13 and every time I restart HS3, I lose all my settings in the plugin. The devices it has created still exist but are not getting updated by BLLAN and do not appear in BLLAN computer list.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks - this is a very useful plugin if I can get it to retain it's settings.
    Matt.

    That is odd.
    Do you get any errors?

Do the settings still exist in the hspi_BLLAN.ini file?

If the settings are in the INI file, then do this:

    1. Shutdown HS3
    2. Edit hspi_BLLAN.ini and change debugLevel=true
    3. Restart HS3
    4. Once HS3 has started go to the options page for BLLAN and disable debug logging

Attach the BLLAN-Detailed.log file from your HS root folder here zipped so I can see it.
    Cheers,
    Bob

      Hi Bob,

Yes the .ini file appears to be populated with all my devices (including where I have re-created them).

Attached is the zip file you asked for (the right file this time).

If you think that deleting the .ini file and/or uninstalling/reinstalling BLLAN is all that's needed to make my problems go away I'm happy to do that if needed.

      Thanks for the quick reply.

      Cheers.
      Matt.

There is an error in the log.
Please attach your hspi_BLLAN.ini file zipped as well

What date format do you use there?
        Cheers,
        Bob

          Hi Bob,

          We use dd/mm/yyyy

          Here is my .ini file...

You will see repetitive entries where I've tried to recreate items after they've disappeared.

          Cheers
          Matt.

It is likely the date format in the INI file that is causing issues.
            Cheers,
            Bob

              Solved (Kind of)

              Yep.

If I change the date format of Windows to US style and restart HS3 then BLLAN loads all the computers and works properly. Changed it back to Aussie to test and it failed again.

So note to others - BLLAN v2.0.13 does not function correctly when using international date format. Use only MM/dd/yyyy not dd/MM/yyyy.

Thanks for your quick help. Let us know if this gets fixed in a later version so I can change my date/time settings back.

EDIT: Above info is wrong. It does work with both date formats as long as the date format hasn't been changed. If you change your date format on the OS, edit your .ini file to correct all the dates logged within to the same format. Thanks Bob for the support.

Put in a BLLAN feature request on my site for this. That will remind me
                Cheers,
