Question about monitoring subnets and devices

OK - I was just curious monitoring that many subnets every minute - confirmed, not a big amount of overhead - thanks,

If your devices are within a specific subnet and are occupying a consecutive range of IP address, then just modify the /24 to something like /28 (Google CIDR).
What's the issue monitoring the remainder of the subnet? It takes almost no CPU and ARP requests are small packets.

Question about monitoring subnets and devices
If I monitor devices (I have homeseer devices created for the IP addresses I want to monitor), do I need to monitor the subnet that is within those devices too to make them update? I have about 20 devices I want to monitor - can I then leave the monitor subnet <blank> in the settings to prevent pinging everything in that subnet?
Thanks!Tags: None
