    New Installation (Trial) Problems

    HS2 Standard 2.2.0.11
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition

I just downloaded and installed UltraMon. When I go to Setup/Interfaces/Config I get the following error:

System.NullReferenceException: Object variable or With block variable not set. Server stack trace: at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Symbols.Container..ct or(Object Instance) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.NewLateBinding.LateGe t(Object Instance, Type Type, String MemberName, Object[] Arguments, String[] ArgumentNames, Type[] TypeArguments, Boolean[] CopyBack) at Scheduler.hsapplication.Plugin(String pi_name) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.StackBuilderSink._PrivateP rocessMessage(IntPtr md, Object[] args, Object server, Int32 methodPtr, Boolean fExecuteInContext, Object[]& outArgs) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.StackBuilderSink.PrivatePr ocessMessage(RuntimeMethodHandle md, Object[] args, Object server, Int32 methodPtr, Boolean fExecuteInContext, Object[]& outArgs) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.StackBuilderSink.SyncProce ssMessage(IMessage msg, Int32 methodPtr, Boolean fExecuteInContext) Exception rethrown at [0]: at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Symbols.Container.Inv okeMethod(Method TargetProcedure, Object[] Arguments, Boolean[] CopyBack, BindingFlags Flags) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.NewLateBinding.LateGe t(Object Instance, Type Type, String MemberName, Object[] Arguments, String[] ArgumentNames, Type[] TypeArguments, Boolean[] CopyBack) at ASP.hspi_ultramon_hspi_ultramon_aspx.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Program Files\HomeSeer\html\hspi_ultramon\hspi_ultramon.aspx:line 31

I see it discovering devices in the log file:

    <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime1 noWrap align=left>8/3/2007 11:52:58 PM </TD><TD class=LOGType1 align=left colSpan=3>UltraMon Warning </TD><TD class=LOGEntry1 align=left colSpan=8>Discovered new host 192.168.1.100 on 192.168.1.0/24</TD></TR><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime0 noWrap align=left>8/3/2007 11:52:59 PM </TD><TD class=LOGType0 align=left colSpan=3>UltraMon Warning </TD><TD class=LOGEntry0 align=left colSpan=8>Discovered new host 192.168.1.101 on 192.168.1.0/24</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

But I'm not able to set it up and/or control it.

Any thoughts on what I can do to fix my problem? Thank you! Jim

    Line 31 is:

    PHP Code:
          hspi hs.Plugin("UltraMon"
Please open a HomeSeer helpdesk ticket on this issue. It appears there may be a problem trying to access HomeSeer though the HomeSeer web server when using Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition.

On server 2003 you may need to manually install asp.net, that may be the problem. We don't officially support server 2003 due to all the security issues and settings involved.
