    The auto-populated gateway IP in the plugin config page was an IPv6 address. I input the IPv4 gateway IP and the red notification came up saying the gateway monitoring IP has been updated; but, the value always reverts back to the IPv6 address.

    To workaround the problem I have disabled the IPv6 stack on the host. No more log errors but also no more IPv6.

    Monitoring 2 devices on a /24 network. Devices are showing 'online' as expected. The PingException error occurs every one minute.
