    confirmation of command

When BLRain8Net sends a command to a Rain8Net, does it confirm that the ack message is received as expected? If so and the ack message is not received, does a device indicate that communication is not working properly?

I will have to check if that is happening
Are you having issues sending commands?

If so, please capture a debug log in the plugin of you sending commands and then turn off debug logging and attach the BLRain8Net-Detailed.log zipped so I can see it
    Cheers,
    Bob

I'm not having issues. I'm evaluating the plug-in. Sometimes nearby lightning strikes can temporarily scramble the serial comms (no fault of any software). Retrying the command if there is no ack is a way to increase robustness. Reporting it gives a signal that manual intervention is needed.

The mcsSprinklers approach is to request status after command and try up to 4 times before declaring failure. Option also exists to poll all modules every minute to confirm valve is in the desired position. When not it commands it with the same 4 try sequence.
