    BLrain8Net Error log

I have recently migrated to HS3. As I did on HS2, I use BL Log Monitor to email me alerts about system problems. On HS2, I used the HS plugin to control my Rain8Net and HS sometimes had problems "finding Controller 1"; while my HS reported that it was sprinkling, it wasn't and my grass would suffer. So, I had the Log Monitor watch for the error...problem solved. Now on HS3, I use the BLrain8Net plugin. Not able to easily replicate the lost controller 1, I simply powered it off and see that, even when my sprinkler controller is powered off, the plugin reports that the zone is on and sprinkling. Maybe that's not a reasonable "error" test, but I don't know what kind of log errors the BLrain8Net might generate until it does (I spent a year stumbling on the various log errors the HS2 plugin would generate). Is there anyway to reasonably confirm that the BLrain8Net is operating properly or can anyone give me some keywords for typical BLrain8Net errors (is "error" one of them?)?

You could try the word "error" or "Error"
I use that in messages I log to the HS log if there is an issue in the plugin

Thanks Blade. I have an error message in my HS Log, but am not getting the email from my event. I must be entering something wrong, probably the log file. Attached is a snip of my event; how do I cause it to search the current log (not the one in my file directory as I seem to have set up)?

Ah it is likely because the HS log is no longer a text file but a SQLite database.
I would need to add something to the plugin in order to do that.
        Cheers,

Hi Bob, do you intend to make that adjustment to the plug in? As the HS2 version did, I thought that real time monitoring of the active log was the whole point. If the plug in no longer does that, it is of no use for my purposes.

It worked in HS2 because the HS log was just a text file
Can you add a feature request for this.
I will have to use the Log callback in HS to do this.
            Cheers,
            Bob

How do I add a feature request, and how long might it be before it is addressed?

Make sure you add the request for BLLogMonitor.
I will get to them in as soon as I can
                Cheers,

Try out BLLogMonitor 2.0.8 in the HS3 updater
I have added a new option on the options page to monitor the HS log
                  Cheers,
