    BC-IRI IR Receiver Now Available

The BitWise Controls BC-IRI is now available from the HomeSeer store.

The BC-IRI can be used with or without the BitWise Controls BC4/BCX-1, and the free plug-in allows you to specify whether you are connecting to a local COM port on your HomeSeer machine, or the serial port of your BC4.

Check out this tutorial video for the Plug-In:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByB4pUgIFqo

The BC-IRI has built-in IR decoding for remotes using the extremely common NEC and Sony IR protocols. The NEC IR protocol is the most commonly used IR protocol for consumer electronics. This means that you probably already have an old unused remote that will work with the BC-IRI. Alternatively, if you are using a programmable universal remote control, you can add our provided IR codes to your remote. This download includes a .ccf file, a text file with each command's name and Pronto Hex representation, and a text file that shows each command's name, and the BC-IRI's decoded output.

Some cool things about the BC-IRI:
*FREE & easy to use Plug-In. Supports multiple receivers. Lots of flexibilty.

*Multiple IR input options. You can point a remote at it, direct-wire the emitter output from an IR distribution system, or even add an additional low-cost IR receiver module (like this guy, less than a dollar).

*Can be powered from the BC4, or from your PC serial port.

*Lets you do nifty things! Use your remote control to select a light, enter the desired level using the numeric buttons, go full on/off with the channel up/down buttons, or raise/lower with the volume buttons.

*Anything controlled by your HomeSeer system can now be controlled via an IR remote!
