Hi,
I am playing with my first BCX1 and have a question regarding the GPIO's.
That manual says that GPIO1/2 can be configured as analogue 0-12vDC.
It also says that it uses a 10bit DAC so that would mean it shows a value between 0 - 1024.
So here is my issue:
My understanding is that at 0v it would show a 0 value and at 12v it would show a 1024 value.
So 6v would give me a value of 612.
With me so far?
So using a 12v psu with selectable voltages (3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 12) would be a good starting point.
But what I am actually seeing is that a voltage of 3v gives a reading of approx 1011 and anything above 4.5 gives a max reading of 1024.
My question is. Is my BCX1 setup incorrectly, broken or the documentation is incorrect/incomplete and the GPIO measures between 0 - 4v?
p.s. I have also emailed bitwise but its the weekend here in Australia so I thought I would post the question as well.
Regards
D.
