    Connection Error

I just stumbled across this one (quite by accident):

If you set "Force a login required on local subnet" so if you use a web browser on both local subnet and 127.0.0.1...then the clients can no longer connect to HS server..with messages like these...

    Code:

BT Connector - Warning: remote network Network1 unreachable. No messages have been received from the remote host for the specified time period. The connection is considered to be needless or broken
    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Darren

Do you know if the speaker client does the same ?

I didn't understand exverything you said; could you send me the steps to reproduce the problem.

    - Setting web local users need to register in HS.
    - Using a browser to access HS from what ?

      Let me clarify:
      1. In HS server Setup and choose Web Server
      2. Set the option "Require Password for Local Area Logins" to yes
This will cause all the BT Client connections to fail as already described.

No the speaker client connection is fine

      Cheers,

        Darren,

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem.

        1) Changed WebServer / Require Password for Local Area Login to Yes (+ apply changes) while the BluetoothClient was running.

I didn't get any disconnection from the Client, which was still reporting fine.

        2) Tried restarting HomeSeer.

        The Bluetooth Client reconnected fine.

        3) Tried restarting the Bluetooth Client

        It connected fine.
This was tested with HS 2.1.139

        4) Tried to log to the HS server from local lan:

HomeSeer web server asked for login / password.

Are you sure the credentials are correct on the Bluetooth Client side ?

            OK...Stipus...I have the answer...

If the account you use to connect with the speaker app is NOT an admin level account then if you have force local lan login turned on then you do not get a connection....although the speaker app connects correctly.

If the HS user is an admin then all works well.

This would be good to add to the FAQ or docs.

            Cheers,

            Darren

Thanks. You mean the account for the bluetooth client must be an admin account, if you force local lan login. Right ?
