    Discovery Results missing

    Stipus,

Found an interesting bug....(I can reproduce this on my mutiple PC's with the different stacks I have)
    1. Restart Windows XP Sp2 client (HS server remains up throughout this test)
    2. Start BT Client (or have it in startup group)
    3. The connection balloon is displayed (Auto Connect is set)
    4. HS server reports BT network connection
    5. Leave the BT client systray connection balloon active (do not dismiss)
    6. Leave in this state for some time (say 5 mins)
    7. Look at the BT device config page for a device which is darn close to the PC (reports not present)
    8. Back to test PC...now dismiss connection balloon and open BT client window
    9. Log shows system trying to find devices but no luck in discovery
    10. On next discovery cycle (with a couple of secs) the client window displays the expected results in correct discovery of the BT devices
    11. The window can now be dismissed to the sys tray without any further loss of discovery data.
Can you please a have a quick look.

    Thanks

    Darren

    Darren,

I successfully reproduced the problem. I'll work on this today.

The first balloon should auto-dismiss after a few seconds. I don't understand yet why it's stuck like this... but I'll find !

Thanks for this...some of my PC's are Media Center based so the desktop doesn't always get displayed...so the clients don't report discoveries correctly.

      Cheers,

      Darren

        Darren,

New versions of the plugin and the BT Client have been posted.

            Stipus,

The discovery results are much better. Although the balloon does seem to take a long while to self dismiss still. (this is not urgent...but can you include it in your next update)

            Cheers,

            Darren

              I don't understand why it doesn't self-dismiss.

The auto-dismiss setting is set to 5 seconds, but it seems Microsoft decided that if there is no activity, the balloon should stay longer...
