    Issue resolved

    Hi Stipus
Sorry for the delay in replying. Actually, since my last post I have got the plug-in working as follows:
    1) I installed the Bluetooth Client application and tried running the discovery.
    2) The client app complained about the network already being owned by the plug-in
    3) When I went to Homeseer and looked at the plug-in a second bluetooth network had appeared, Network1

It looks like Bluetooth Network0 is defined as a remote network that would use BluetoothClient.exe on a remote computer.

Can you restart HomeSeer, and print the debug log when the plugin initializes.

    Similar problems with Vista

Hi, I am having what sounds like a similar problem.

I briefly had the Bluetooth plug-in working with my previous (XP) PC but now that I have Vista I cannot make it work.

I have used a number of different Bluetooth dongles, including a Belkin dongle. They all install correctly on my PC and can 'see', and pair with my mobile phone.

With the latest dongle I think I am using the 'Generic Bluetooth Rado' or 'Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator'. If you can tell me where to look for more precise information I will find it.

I am using Microsoft Vista Home Premium SP1, Homeseer 2.2.0.11 and BT Connector 2.45.2.2.

Basically, when I click 'Scan New Bluetooth Devices' the page refreshes instantly, as though it isn't really even trying to scan.

With Debug turned on I get this in the log:

    <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime1 noWrap align=left>29/08/2008 14:20:20 </TD><TD class=LOGType1 align=left colSpan=3>BT Debug </TD><TD class=LOGEntry1 align=left colSpan=8>BT Connector : Network0: Remote Bluetooth Network Enabled= True AutoDiscovery=False AutoDiscoveryInterval=1 No client found</TD></TR><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime0 noWrap align=left>29/08/2008 14:36:39 </TD><TD class=LOGType0 align=left colSpan=3>BT Debug </TD><TD class=LOGEntry0 align=left colSpan=8>BT Connector : Network0: Remote Bluetooth Network Enabled= True AutoDiscovery=True AutoDiscoveryInterval=1 No client found</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Any ideas, or anything else I can provide to help identify the problem?

    Thanks

    Neil

    Currently I have no clue...

I have tested the Bluetooth Client under Vista, but I didn't test the plugin itself.

I'll double check this when I'll be back home on the 15th of August.
