    Joe,
    Do you know for a fact that iAutomate tags use rolling balls and not MEMS? If so, do you know if anyone markets them separately?

      What is MEMS? I'm not sure how you could do that level of sensitivity with a rolling ball. There are vibration sensors out there that they might be using.

        MEMS is a technology using very small IC-fabrication like techniques. I think the biggest commercial use is by TI with the DLP (mirrors) for the HD TVs.

          I'm guessing most systems that detect vibration use something like this:
