    DIY to fix RF40315T-x

I have the RF4015T-x in four automobiles and they have been fine for the 4 years or so. These are buried inside and adjacent to the dome lights on every vehicle and work great. They are powered from the 12VDC automobile power supplies.

I had one go out last year (replaced) and one go out just about a week ago. I'm thinking that maybe its the voltage regulator as I could smell it; and it smelled a bit burned. I ordered the voltage regulator hoping that that's all that broken on these. Meanwhile I ordered two more of the RF4015T-x. (to have one hot spare)

If all it is is the regulator will document rest of the attached pictures with the DIY pieces of removing the old regulator and installing a new one. BTW the new regulators were about $2 for 10 of these.
