        Yes, I will study this document, the previous posts were not very useful, the links worked for me but the info was not API specific.

          I'm still having problems getting the plugin to work. I followed the innstructions above.

          The dtvcon.exe works on COM3, but the plugin does nothing on the same port.

          Any more sugestions?

            I need the DirecTV.log file...it is in the log directory and is verbose straight from the plug-in.

            If you can attach that here, I can use it to diagnose your issue.

                    Looking at new API...but it looks more like web based calls to on board web server...still need to investigate further...my knowledge of JAVA and ASP are limited.

                        No, it is the DirecTV log. Nevertheless, I have attached the whole file here.

                        Again, the dtvcon program works fine on the same COM port, but the HS plugin does nothing.

                        The only error I see in the HS log is when I try to change the channel:
                        DirecTV Error~!~Exception error in PagePut()-->For-Next Loop.

                          Strange, because the Log does not look complete...I will investigate why it is not being logged. The log should be giving me clues from every routine contained in the plug-in, to aid in troubleshooting issues.

                            Just checking in on the progress of the IP connectivity. I just got a new HR23-700 and would love to get the plug-in working with it. I know the eithernet port is there, but not sure if it has a USB or serial (I'm not at home now). Do you happen to know if others have gotten to work with this box?

                                Larry, thanks for the beta. I thought I'd share my results... My HR23 does connect and the on/off"power" device does toggle the STB on and off. The status of the HS devices is not accurate, even the Power device which does work when controlling the power, is not reflecting any change (i.e. just show off). Since my STB is not in the drop down on the config page, I'm not sure what impact that may have on the fuctionality. Let me know if you'd like me to test anything or if I can help in anyway...
