Bryan - What capture card do you recommend

Hi Bryan, I currently have the Hauppauge PVR PCI (not the 250 or 350 or USB). What is the best card to use which is fully compatible with the Hauppauge plugin ? I would like to be able to stream, capture AVIs and take stills. I am looking at using Snapstream. Any luck with the Hauppauge 350 update ? Any other makes apart from Hauppauge worth considering ?

Not having great sucess getting the PVR series to captur AVI's or stream. I can get it to capturee stills and MPG2 video but ... I haven't given up just yet - I hate being beat by software.

The most compatible cards are those that do not do hardware encoding that use WDM drivers. In my development system I have an ordinary Hauppauge WinTV (very old version) that just works great. They can be had on eBay for real cheap.
