  • Hauppauge PVR500 Dual Tuner

    I want to buy this pci card.
    Will this work with the plug-in?
    Can I then watch the program chanels on an other pc with the streaming?<O
    Will this also work with a pocketpc?<O
    When I ad a modulator to my cams, can I use 2 cams at the same time? ( it is a dual tuner card)<O
    Will this all work with windows server 2003?

    Any help will be appreciated

    The PVR cards are meant to be used for TV viewing, not webcam monitoring. If I am not mistaken the PVR500 only has one composite input anyways, so you wouldn't gain much from it, and some others have reported trouble when trying to use a PVR series card with the webcam plugin (could be because of the mpeg2 encoder).

      So witch card do you recoment to use?
      The main thing I want to do is streaming tv channel to a pocketpc.

        Any ordinary TV capable card that uses WDM device drivers and does not use hardware MPEG encoding will work fine with this plugin. Of course you'll have to make your own page for the PocketPC.
