    Trojan,
    What hardware are you using? The WebCam plugin and this plugin use the same basic connections so I wondering if you have the proper prerequisite software loaded like the latest DirectX, etc.

      Rupp, I would have thought so, its an xp pro setup with service pack 2, running hs2 with one event and one plugin (webcam now changed to hauppage) other than the cm12.

      And in case your wondering.. yes it worked fine on hs1.7.44

        Soooooo no other ideas anyone??

        I have confirmed my VA11A will work with this plugin as it uses wdm drivers.. in fact I am streaming now using another VA11A on another pc using streaming software with WDM.

        Does anyone know what these errors mean, could do with a few start points to sort it out.

          I'll bet it works fine using a Hauppauge card...

            I doubt that as its giving errors on startup.. the config page loads but theres not a lot I can do as it hasnt fired up fully because of the errors.

            I have tried to locate an older version but as its in the updater you only get one choice..

                So, yet more money on a card, so my webcam plugin, 39$ wasted, new card and then another plugin.. jeez this just keeps adding up...

                    Give Bryan a chance to see the post. He might just have an answer.

                        In the Touchpad config menu as in AVI.jpg then create a button as in AVI001.jpg

                        If you are using the Touchpad Americana format, the buttons and ASP page is in the DOWNLOAD section on my system. I just updated all the files there yesterday.

                        If you are using the standard HS web format as Bryan supplies, it should work using the path and asp page as in AVI001.jpg. The thumbnails are created on the fly every time that ASP page is called.

                        Bryan's routine shows all of them. My mod to his page only lists the last 6.

                          Can I get you to manually edit the hspi_Hauppauge_capture.ini file in the config folder and change the line "MsgLevel=2" to "MsgLevel=0" (no quote marks) and then restart HomeSeer. Email the log file and the ini file to me at bstein@accesscomm.ca and I'll see If I can see what is going wrong. It appears that the error when loading the config form indicates that there is a problem with the video codec's on your system.

                          Do you happen to have more than one capture device in your system? Look in device manager and see what is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers".

                            Bryan,

                            Looking in the .ini file all I have is this:

                            [ZoneCameraAssmts]
                            Hauppauge Capture Main Alarm=Main Alarm
                            [Settings]
                            BaseCode=[
                            CaptureCardCount=2

                            I dont have that line... I will add it and see what happens. YES I have a VA11A and also an ATI all in wonder 128

                            Thanks, TrOjAn

                              If the MsgLevel is not in the ini file, then add these two lines to the ini file:

                              [Options]
                              MsgLevel=0

                              and then restart HomeSeer
