    My wish list

Now that I got this plugin actually working I've gotta admit that I really like it... and my wife absolutely loves it... and she's not one who usually gets excited about home automation stuff.

After playing around with it for a bit last night I've got a bit of a wish list started. So, here is what I'd love to see added to InControl. (Don't worry... it's not a big list... at least not yet)

I have Z-Wave thermostats and I would *love* to have the ability to control the thermostat through InControl. At a minimum I'd like to be able to see the current status of the thermostat, but control would be awesome. (I tried to add my thermostats to InControl and for some reason one of them shows the status as "On" and the other is "Unknown". Neither is terribly helpful

I also recently got one of the Kwikset Z-Wave deadbolts and I would love to be able to see the status of the lock and even lock and unlock it through InControl. Right now it shows up with a status of "Unknown" and gives me the option to send an "On" or "Off" command to it, but neither actually seems to change the status of the lock.

Finally, I'm having a bit of a UI issue and frankly, I'm not sure if this is something you can fix or something that needs to be fixed by Sage. I use an IR remote to control Sage most of the time which sends up, down, left, and right arrows and enter when I hit select. Navigating through InControl this way is a bit of a pain. I have quite a few locations on the left side of the screen, but most of the locations only have a few devices in them.

If I have a location highlighted near the bottom of the list and hit the right arrow to move over to control one of the devices the focus will change to the "Options" or "Refresh" button instead of moving to the devices list. Then, if I hit the left arrow to try to get over to the devices list the focus will jump back to the locations list.

The only way I can get to the devices list in this case is to hit the right arrow to move to the "Options" or "Refresh" button, then hit the up arrow until the focus moves to the devices list. This is certainly a bit of a pain and not very intuitive. I think it would be better if the focus moved to the devices list when you were anywhere in the location list and hit the right arrow. Alternately would it be possible to move to the devices list from the location list when you hit select (enter) on one of the locations? Right now hitting select on any of the locations does nothing.

Hopefully that all makes sense, but if you have any questions or need any help testing, please feel free to let me know

Thanks for the feedback.....I will look into the thermostat and deadbolts, I am starting to get a list of these together for me to work on.

On the UI navigation issue, I already have that one on the list. Your ID of moving from locations to device lists by hitting enter is a great one and I will at least look to implement that one.

I will let you know as these get incorporated into future versions.

      Can you do the following:

On the same HomeSeer Device Screen, click on the "InControl Device Information" then the export button at the bottom to export the device settings to a file. Then send me that file for me to further investigate, how the device status is being controlled by homeseer.

The new version has both fixed the ability for the "Right" action to go to the middle column and I added your suggusted such that if the "Select" action is performed on a location in the first column, it will change focus to the devices in the middle column. Let me know how they work.

How about the ability to play voicemails? That would be cool!

Now that STV7 is out of beta, I am considering updating SOLELY to purchase the InControl plugins...but my primary purpose for InControl would be for thermostat and lock control via STV remote. I'm curious to know if either of these wish list items have made it to the most current release.
