    "Wake-up/Resume" Touchpad

Could I use Message Server to "Wake-up / Resume" the blank screen on my Fujitsu 510 touchpad? It would be great if a motion sensor detected movement in the room the the screen would remain on as long as someone was in the room. I'm hoping there is a way to do this. THANKS!

    Bill,

What your Fujitsu does to blank the screen?

Screensaver: can be disabling by sending a keys message to this client.
Monitor Power saving: would need to add a couple of functions.
Standby mode: I don’t see how can be done because the client is not connected.

    Thanks,
    Christian

      OK. I'm curious...

What would I need to do to "wake-up" from Power Saving Mode?

I would like to tie it to a motion sensor.

By the way... your support of this plig-in is fantastic! THANKS!

        Bill,

What do you have to do to wake-up your Fujitsu?

If you could use Wake-On-LAN (WOL) this could be very easy.

        Thanks,
        Christian

          Not sure how Wake-On-Lan works.

Now i just press on thre touchpad to wake it up.

Are you saying there is a message server command I can send?

            Bill,

What operating system are you running on the Fujitsu?
When you touch the screen does the touchpad boot like a pc from power off (dos stuff) or only like the light of the screen just goes on?

            Thanks,
            Christian

The Fujitsu is running Windiows 98. When the screen saver is on, a tap on the screen brings back the desktop.

When it is in the standbye mode the blank dark screen returns to the desktop.

                Bill,

When you have some free time can you test

                hs.Plugin("Message Server").ClientMonitorOn "client"
                hs.Plugin("Message Server").ClientMonitorOff "client"

The client is optional as always. I hope this will work for your touchpad.

                Thanks,
                Christian

EDIT: Link removed newest version in the updater

                  vert strange...

I tried the uodated file and now have a new problem. I can't get a message box to appaer on the client - I only get a tone to alert me. "HS log to Client" is the only message boxes I get.

Do you have multiple clients connected?
What function are you using to send the message?
What kind of security are you using?

I did some test and I received all my messages this is very strange. You can go back to the previous version by running the HomeSeer updater and install it again.

Did the monitoron function was working?

Sorry for all the trouble I have some free time today if you want we can do quick email reply to fix that problem.

                    Thanks,
                    Christian

Fixed. I was trying to get the clients to speak and must have corrupted the files. I reloaded and now all is working correctly.
