I'm about to set up a number of temperature sensors around the house, but it's not practical to daisy-chain them. I've got a bunch of CAT-5 from various points in the house home-run to a panel in the basement. I want to put a temp sensor (sometimes two) on about six of these runs. I have a Temp08.
I know one-wire in star configuration is problematic, but what's my best strategy? Wire 'em all up to the Temp08 through 100-ohm resistors and pray? Buy five more Temp08s (Sorry, Mitch, can't afford it)? Some other technology (some sort of one-wire hub)?
Anybody got experience with something like this?
