Unless you've specifically told it otherwise, a PIX uses good 'ole UDP 514 for syslog.

The port will be either 514 or 162. I cannot think of any other ports. These are the two I have found to work ok.

Update: Downloaded the utility.......can't seem to get the PIX to log properly to anything.....except my syslog server. Then that work thing keeps getting in the way. I'll be at it again this weekend......thanks for the patience! and helping hand. ChrisB

    Hi,

You will need to download the Router Logger application in this thread and let it run for 10-15 minutes.

Here is the router logger application:

    http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=106905

Then once you have your log file, please attach it to this thread (please make sure you indicate the name and model of the router)

    http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=106906

I will then create a parser for it and put out a new version of the plugin so that you can use it with your router.

If you have any questions let me know
