George, I've been toying with the SpeakEasy trial. I have a feature request, and some questions.
FEATURE REQUEST: I'm using X10 appliance modules to switch speakers. Since the X10 delay is rather random, and varies depending on the number of devices being switched - both on and off - and other traffic that may be on the powerline - like my X10 thermostat sending a bunch of preset dims. Is there a way that the switching delay can be made dynamic for X10 switched devices, similair to what the ",True" statement after an execX10 does? So plugin would delay speaking until all the devices are switched, which will vary depending on number of devices being switched and powerline traffic.
QUESTION: Is there a way to dynamically handle HSPhone-related announcements that occur over the speakers (not through the phone). I understand how to change this with events and script (just use hs.speak and some GML instead of relying on the normal event speak box, or add GML to exsiting hs.speak command in existing scripts), but since hs.phone does not appear to use either of these, how do I do it? Can I just put it in the GML in the "proceed announcement with" box in HSPhone? That's not necessarily dynamic, but it's something.
Regarding dynamic switching. I'm going to have to do some research to see how other folks are getting SpeakEasy to adjust speakers based on the enviroment. So far, I've setup events that change the speakers based on time of day and/or security system status. I suppose that with the revert to previous funtion in the config, will help get me going.
