    multi room setups??

Ok so my onkyo tx-rn708 is running great... love it so far.. (however it still doesnt seem as good as my HK that died but believe it still to be setting the speakers up)..

anywho.. I went onkyo over pioneer as i already had a onkyo a-22 amp that i used in a multi room on my hk (harman kardon)...

i know the newer receivers (like mine) has speaker outs for multi room 2...
can i plug my 2 speakers to this and get all my outputs to go through these speakers? if so i can then remove this 1980's amp..... if not.. ill have to look for a newer amp with rj45 or rs232!!!!!

    thanks

    Hi

I have a very similar setup. I use Zone 2 on my Onkyo for a second zone/room. As far as I can work out the limitation is that it will only play analogue/stereo type audio on the second zone (suggest no processing, I guess).

For me this works OK as I only need the second zone to access a Logitech Squeezebox Receiver. I did have to 'downgrade' the signalling for the Squeezebox to analogue RCA cable and ditch my nice TOSLink cable, but at least I got it going.

    Hope this helps
