Would the W800 "hear" these devices?

    Nope, sorry . . .

It operates at 418MHz, wrong frequency. It's also only marketed in the UK?

It looks like they have US and UK versions but I can't find the US operating frequency. Chances are that they don't use the NEC signalling protocol which is what the W800 receives. They do have some nice sensors though (Temp, movement, dry contact, water)

        Rocco,
I confused. Why do you say they are only available in the UK?

A Motorola press release I received stated it was being released for the UK, and would be available September 17. I could not find a reference to any other version, but that doesn't mean there aren't other press releases that I didn't receive. I will try to find a link to what I received.

          Later:
OK, here is a link to the press release I received:
          http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=152904

And the line that got me wondering:
"Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announces the launch of homesight(TM), a new home monitoring and control system for the UK market."
