After trying for a couple of days to get my W800 to work with a serial to USB converter, I finally decided to try swapping the W800 with my Ocelot. In other words, the Ocelot went on the converter and then into a USB port, and the W800 went onto the HS machine's lone serial port. Now works perfectly.
I've seen posts that state the W800 will work with a "good quality" serial to USB converter, but I didn't have that luck. If others experience problems similar to this, you might want to make sure the W800 has a true serial connection.
