David, thanks for the clarification. Yeah, it says 8 speakers on the web site and I hadn't noticed that each of the 8 "green connectors" contains 4 wires, i.e. 2 speakers each.

Also, it's good to hear that the serial interface supports querying.

So, at $149, I'm definately in! I'll be sending him a message after I post this.

The timing is great for me. I'm in Northern England until the end of April. Surprisingly, the weathers better here than back in frozen-in Dallas!
