    Thanks Fungun,

    I've been able to populate variables in HS/ML using the following script

    yac_time = now
    s_yac_msg = yac_time & ": " & s_phone_list_name & " " & s_ncid_number

    for xs = 9 to 1 Step -1
    i = hs.devicestring ("q"&(xs))
    hs.SetDeviceString "q"& (xs+1), i
    Next
    hs.SetDeviceString "q1", s_yac_msg

    Now I'm just looking to format the s_ncid_number like (xxx) xxx-xxxx. Any ideas??

    From another post (modified) maybe this will work

    TrimAreaCID =Left(s_ncid_number,3)
    TrimPreCID =Mid(s_ncid_number,4,3)
    TrimLastCID =Right(s_ncid_number,4)

    cnumber = "("&TrimAreaCID &")" & TrimPreCID &"-" & TrimLastCID

    what do you think?
    Regards, Bob

        Since I fuzzed the pic it's hard to tell, but this is how they come out--

        3/14/2005 11:00:34 AM Caller ID Number: 712-555-5555 Name: Home Impr Meyer

        Since the script I use is seperate from the wafnetcallerid vbs, I didn't have to try and modify it at all.

          I put the script modification I suggested in the WAFCallerID processing script per my earlier post and it seems to work. Now phone numbers in the device string are formatted (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

          I guess there are alot of different ways to get to the same point. Thanks for all your help.
          Regards, Bob
