Variables or Points/Params

I'm going to start working on interfacing my Secu16 and Secu16I inputs to homeseer . . . I remember early on that the plug in didn't work so well on the point/param inputs and the idea was to set variables in the Leopard/Ocelot to be read/set by homeseer . . .

Is this still the best way to go about this? (I'm using the ADIOcelot version) . . . or have things changed? . . .

If I recall the analog measurements come via the params and that is best handled via CMAX with a variable interface with HS. Update rate will be whatever the variable polling cycle is.

When doing your CMAX dont overload the SECU16 bus.

I believe the supervised inputs are handeled with special serial comm with HS. This means that they show up on an "interrupt" basis which is good.

Not positive on these things, but this is my understanding.
