    IR Questions

    I'm trying to learn a Philips DSX5353R Satellite receiver. After looking over some posts I have tried fresh batteries, killed the ambient light, and even tried CMax. Is there some way to determine the carrier fecquency of the remote? This monster can't be learned on a learning remote either.

    Any suggestions?

    It uses the Philips RC6 protocol at 36KHz. I suspect that because of its somewhat unusual protocol it may be hard for some remotes to learn it. But I generated all commands for that device using GenIRDB. You should save your existing lir file using CMax. Then load this file into the Ocelot and test. If that works for you use IRMax to merge the two lir files.

    Here are the commands. The left hand column is the IR position that teh commands are in. I added the discrete power commands and they are untested but that is typically what Philips uses:
