I use iTunes to play music all day long. It runs on the same computer as Homeseer.

It sounds like iTunes is not installed correctly?

Do you have iTunes running on the HomeSeer PC? Do you have the latest version of iTunes loaded?

Yes, rupp before downloading itunes plug, I downloaded the most recent version witch was on there site (new install). iTunes resides with HS server and this is the error I get in the log:

5/11/2008 8:03:58 PM - iTune - Warning, unable to create playlist: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED))

          rotech,

          This error message:
5/11/2008 8:03:58 PM - iTune - Warning, unable to create playlist: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED))

is a common iTunes error. It usually means that a song or playlist is empty.

I see this error when I Tell iTunes to play a playlist that is empty because Homeseer deleted all the songs and did not add any new ones.
