    error in log file

    I am getting the following error over and over in my log file:

    error updating status(13) unable to case COM object type 'iTunesLib.iTunes'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID {9DD6680B-3EDC-HDDB-A771-E6F}.

    Any ideas? I recently upgraded iTunes to the most recient versin.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

      Yes, I start iTunes before starging Homeseer.

        Maybe Ineed to update the plug-in? How do I download the updated plug-in without having to repurchase it?

          So I noticed there is an updated version of Homeseer, so I installed that. Then I cleared out my iTunes library and restarted iTunes. Then I restarted Homeseer and the new version started. My database was saved as a backup and a new database was created. Then I went to the liscenses page and saw iTunes liscence registered ID 21683. However, on the plug in page, when I click on iTunes, I get an error page that reads:

          Server Error in '/' Application.

          Runtime Error

          Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

          Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

          <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --><configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web></configuration>
          Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

          <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --><configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web></configuration>

          I also noticed that when I go to tools, Updater, and I scroll down to the music plug-in section, I see iTunes for Homeseer and in the Installed column, it says No.

          Any suggestions?

              Another question. When I look at the status page, and click on the iTunes button, I get a server error page (the one I posted in a previous entry). I changed the web.config file to properly display the error as suggested on the error page. Now I get the following error:

                  I just upgraded to version 2.4.0.11. (Do you think I need to do a repair? If so, how do I do that?) I am running iTunes version 10.0.1.22. I just rebooted homeseer (to get the version number) and these are the entries in the log:
