I have three Aprilaire thermostats connected via the Proverter, then via serial-USB adapters to HomeSeer Pro, under Win7 Pro 64 bit. I regularly lose both send and receive communication, easily seen by a ceasing of the light flickering on both the Proverter and the Serial-USB adapters.
A restart of Home Seer solves the problem most of the time, but sometimes a reboot of the PC is necessary.
There is no discernable time or activity pattern to the problem. Sometimes normal communication is maintained for a full day, but normally is lost after several hours.
I'm not sure where to initiate my troubleshooting.
FWIW, I had this same problem under both Win XP and Win 7 64, using a straight serial port connection.
