RC-80 Tstat issue with power loss

I have had a bunch of issue with power failure at the house over the past few months. When the power is restored, the HAI Tstat RC-80 goes to 90F.

I am running HAI plugin 2.1.2746.29695. I do not run any Tstat plugins. I looked at my set points and the cool is set to 94.2. I tried changing that from the HAI Tstat status page and the config page but it kept being reset to 94.2. The log indicated that the setting was changed when in the status page but no changes were recorded when change was made in the setup\interface\config page.

Is there a way to fix this?? Since this is a beta plugin, should I revert back to an earlier plugin? and if so, how do you do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is the same issue I had with the same version of the HAI Omni II plugin. Is this the first time you are seeing this issue?

I liked this version because it would sync my clock but mess with the thermostat.

I am currently using the earlier version (2.0.0.19) of the plugin and it works fine with my RC1000 thermostat.

Just rename the current plugin file and copy the new one over or just utilize the HS upgrader.

It has happen about 4 times in the past 3-4 months. We usually have very stable power.

I will downgrade and test.

Due to this / WAF almost tearing the thermostat off the wall; I downgraded and haven't had any issues since.

Yes, the Wife was a little upset when we got home from vacation yesterday to find the house at 90F, the choc. Easter bunnys melted in a big heap and the gold fish dead.

So I figured it was time to look into the problem.

I didn't attribute the resetting of the RC-80 to 90 plus degrees to power failures.

Try a quick search on the HAI plugin part of the forum; specficially relating to the RC-80 connected thermostat.

The suggestion at the time was to remove it from the HAI panel and control the thermostat via RS-232.
