Whatever happened to Video/AC detector probes??

Does anybody know of a source for (or a replacement for Smartlinc) either video, LED, or AC detector probes? I know Smartlinc doesn't make them anymore, but were they the only ones who did? Having real issues with status sensing of TV's, etc.

    Thanks!

In many cases I am able to use a wall wart plugged into a switched outlet. I use digital inputs on the Stargate to detect the low voltage output. I believe you could use a power flash as well.

A CRMagnet will sense current. Do a search for CRMagnet and you'll see how these work to tell if devices are on or off.

Thanks, Rupp. Wasn't easy to find, but if anyone else is looking, it's www.crmagnetics.com. Unca' Mike, you're right about the wal-wart, but only if your device has a switched outlet. Tv's kind of fail me there (unless you know of a non-destructive hack?).

          Sensor source

          Andy,
Just saw this tip on the JDS forum:

          http://www.globalcache.com/products/ir-sensors.html

The sensors are available at Worthington
