I'm thinking of giving this a try and reading here and on the JRiver forums as well to get a handle on how it all works.
My first question is JRMC 12 is what seems to be supported. I see that JRMC 13 is released and JRMC 14 beta is out. I read that the database of version 12 and 13 are not compatible.
Is the plug-in anywhere near ready for 13 or should I be looking to download 12?
I've gone over a lot of the manuals, posts and blogs and while JRMC appears to be quite the program, I'm worried about it's overhead on my "very clean" HS system. Considering all that is included in the MEDIA CENTER program, video, pictures, cd rips playlist creation, etc, especially in light of the plug-in, as far as I know, just using it to play music.
Am I way off base here or is it a valid concern?
Are the future plans, at some point, going the way of taking advantage of JRMC's other features or is it sticking strictly to playing music?
Any advice appreciated.
