    Using Alexa With Russound, Homeseer And OMNI PRO ll

    I'm using Homeseer (HS3 ZEE S2 Edition 3.0.0.368 (Linux), OMNI PRO ll, Russound (CAV 6.6) and Alexa in mu home.

    I'm wondering, what is the best way to control what sources play in what zones etc. using Alexa as opposed to the Russound keypads. Is it just a matter of getting a Russound plugin for Homeseer or is it a bit more complicated than that?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    With having an older Russound that is not supported directly by Alexa, you are probably better off turning Omni Flags ON / OFF or using Omni Buttons and then using the Omni plug-in to control those via Alexa.

      Hmm.. that sounds like it might be less than perfect. What do you think I need to upgrade to get alexa to play different sources in different zones?

        All of the newer Russound controllers that support Alexa require you to be a Certified Russound Installer to unlock them.
