Did you rescan the Thermostat? On the rescan did it load successfully?

Yes, I did rescan the thermostat and it was recognized (2 devices for the Wayne Dalton), same as before. It is still not working. I am wondering what the HS event debug errors mean.

I see you are running the .127 beta is there a reason you haven't upgraded to the .130(when running beta software I try to stay current). I have been running the CA8900 Tstat since it was released with no issues on .66 - only saw debug messages from the Tstat plugin back in .03 it was corrected in .04 if I remember correctly.

              pcgeek,

I have an open ticket on the Wayne Dalton but a slightly different problem. I keep scanning and loading it into HS (66 and 130 both have been tried with the most current zwave thermostat plugin) but HS sees it only as a binary switch of type zwave relay. I never get the thermostat devices created.

That being said, I have no problem with communication: if I toggle the zwave relay device corresponding to the thermostat, it goes to energy-saving mode, if I toggle it off then it goes to regular mode (this is with heat already being chosen manually on the thermostat). My zseer reports a good strong signal.

It's far from ideal and I certainly want to make use of the full thermostat class set, but there is no signal problem here at all (I have ztroller too btw).

              just an fyi,

              Cheers,
              Scott

I have temporarily put this on hold. I've got an open ticket on this and what we have tried so far has not worked. The main reason I have it on hold is because I should be received the Hometroller this week (hopefully Thursday) and I will see if it works or not. I'll post back with success or failure.

                  Bump...

I have an open ticket still dating from 7 Oct and have had no response other than being asked to supply a copy of the log entry---which I did on 10 Oct although I supplied the log as well when I first submitted the ticket on 7 Oct. No response since 10 Oct at all, and it's over one week.

I still have the following issues:

                  1. The Celsius temperature displays ten times greater (170C, e.g.)
                  2. In the config, Celsius is misspelled as "Celcius"

                  3. Because of item 1, all setpoints have to be entered ten times greater as well. Once entered setpoints then display correctly (at least in the config page, but they are still incorrect in Display Listings) although current temperature displays as times ten (e.g. entering 200 correctly moves the setpoint to display 20, but current temperature displays 170).

                  4. Max and min points on the config page are ignored, and default to 40. This 40 also is the only choice presented in event dialogues (see below).

                  5. In the Display Listings page, controls for the thermostat do not show up all the time making it impossible to control the thermostat reliably (see attached--usually but not always there are controls at the far right for the thermostat. Due to line length the display is cramped, but check the far right column...no controls for the thermostat show).

                  6. Any attempt to config an event for the device, allows only the changing of the setpoint (which after Check Changes) then only gives an option of 40C (which at 104F isn't too useful). I would like to be able to specify changing from the preset energy saving setback temp to the regular preset heat temp but the only option to change from energy saving to regular temp mode is on the config page, not in an event dialogue. Barring that simple task, I could simply change the heat temp based on current temp but since (a) you can't access the current temp as a field although it displays and (b) the temp box in the event config seems fixed at 40C, this doesn't seem possible either.

I have deleted and re-added this device several times. I have learned that it is necessary very very briefly to tap the button on the therm to register the device with HS: any length of time at all and the therm will register itself as a zwave binary switch. The manual mentions this, but says the registration as a switch only occurs after four seconds of holding the therm's zwave button...I found it's more like anything more than one second.

Oddly enough as I noted earlier, I get more functionality from this thermostat if I let it be configged as a zwave binary switch. The control buttons (and choices in event configs) let me switch the heating on and off (assuming heating is pre chosen on the thermostat), and I can pull in current temp from an HSM100 in the room.

This therm is still being advertised on the HS pages....is ANYONE using it successfully? I have tried it unsuccessfully with HS66 and HS130 (one thread has Rich saying rev 66 should be enough). I bought this directly from HS, but to-date am feeling like this isn't well supported at all.

I just hooked up my Hometroller and tried to setup the thermostat, figuring a clean setup would help, and it still does not work. I only have the device listed as an on/off relay. I'm working with the HST to get it resolved.

Just wanted to give an update. I deleted the device and added back in but when you add the device back in you only need to TAP the bind button on the thermostat don't hold it down at all. Reload to HS and you should be good to go.

I mentioned the same thing about the light tapping at the bottom of my previous post.

I _still_ have all the others problems using this thermostat. We get by only by manually going to the zwave status page for the plug in and clicking on the Heat button or on the Save Energy button to move between the two settings.

No programming of events is possible, and all issues listed in my post above from numbers 1 through 6 still obtain.

I have 2 of the WDTC-20 thermostats and they both are working fine. Also, I have 4 events configured to setback the thermostats at various times and they seem to work every time - I cant find an instance where they did not work.

I am using HS2.3 and a Z-Troller. I looked at your post above and the only real difference I see is that I'm using Farenheit instead of Celsius. There is a jumper in the thermo for Celsius/Farenheit - is that set to C?

I will say that the thermostat plug-in itself is missing some documenation - I cant find anything useful on using it. My basic installation is only setting the setpoints to predefined values at different times.
