    ADIOcelot setup doesn't work

    #2
I initially had a problem with the ADIOcelot plugin and it was related to the interface name.

In the setup program on the general tab I had to select "ADIOcelot" instead of "Applied Digital Ocelot"

I don't know if that is related to your problem, but it fixed my problems with the plugin and HS 2.1.122

Why oh why didn't I just leave things alone, they had been working.

The "no response" from setup is usually another window in front of the ADIOcelot setup form. Move everything else out of the way so the middle of the screen is available for ADIOcelot's form.

Another common difference is the need to select ADIOcelot rather than Applied Digital Ocelot as the inteface property on the ADIOcelot setup on HS2.

Native HS 1 or 2 only supports a single X10 interface. Multiple X10 interfaces can be achieved via the mcsXap plugin.

Yeah, The SETUP widows (from many plugins) hiding behind HS window was the first surprise . I passed that test . In time when ADIOcelot SETUP was working I switched to ADIOcelot from Applied Digital Ocelot. Of course I can't check now if the selection stayed there, because I can't get into setup .

        Michael,
I'm rebooting into my HS2.1 right now and I'll try to move the HS window as much out of screen as possible before I click the "SETUP".

I forgot to mention before that there is NO error message in STARTUP LOG and OCELOT is found on COM 3.

        Addition:
Moving window didn't work. SETUP will not load.
        Suggestions????

          Mike,
          Are you around?
Do you have any suggestion what I can try?
I got my ocelot working with the original HS plugin, but I'd like to go back to yours.

          Thanks

            Marty,

I just checked, with HS 2.1.122 I can select The ADIOcelot ->setup from the GUI menu bar and the ADIOcelot setup screen appears.

I can also select from the HS 2 webpage -> Setup - > Interfaces ADIOcelot Config button and the ADIOcelot setup screen appears. Of course this only works on the actual HS2 server not any remote clients.

            Hope this helps somehow.

Marty I'm around but there are others in a better position to help you since I do not use HS2 except when I need to fire it up to test some software problem.

Neither one is working for me. I'll keep trying.

                    Marty,
What do you mean when you say "I'm rebooting into my HS2.1 right now "? Are you running HS 1.7 and 2.x on the same machine? If so this could cause problems due to the registration of the app.

                      No Rupp.
I do have two different hard drives. My BIOS allowed me to boot from any device in my system.
So I can boot up from new (HDD-0) hard drive with clean system and HS2.1.122 or boot up from old (HDD-1) hard drive with my rock solid 1.7.44.
