Just received a Way2Call modem. Installed drivers then the modem. The phone has a dial tone and the modem shows on / off hook. 2 problem have me stumped.
1) When i press #, i hear the yes sir. I then tell it to play a certain song. It plays the song (windows media player plugin), but the audio is heard over the phone. Audio in windows XP is set for the onboard audio, not the usb modem. If i start windows media player by itself instead of through homeseer, the sound goes to the house speakers.
2) I am unable to record a message. When I call the house phone, I get the HS Phone message but I never hear a beep to leave a message. The modem does detect when I hang up the phone.
Not sure if these issues are related or not. I have tried deleting the hsphone ini and reentering the configuration settings.
Any thoughts? Searched all day on the forums but nothing seemed to help!
Way2Call has current drivers. Running XP Pro software and HS2 Pro. Modem is plugged into a powered hub.
Thanks,
Dave
